Welcome to Hea-atl

HEA ATL was created out of love — for romance novels, for the community that surrounds them, and for the joy that happens when readers and authors gather in the same room.

Romance is one of the most vibrant, generous, and powerful genres in publishing. Across the country, there are incredible events celebrating it and we’re grateful to be part of that growing landscape.

HEA ATL adds something uniquely ours:

A community-forward, Atlanta-rooted romance festival with meet cute energy and block party vibes.

Hosted inside a historic textile mill in the West End, our event blends book fair nostalgia with thoughtful programming and an intentionally welcoming atmosphere.

We’re here to celebrate love stories in every form; contemporary, historical, paranormal, dark, queer, and beyond; with special care given to centering indie authors and diverse voices.

Shannon

Donahue

As a lifelong artist and romance reader, Shannon Donahue has always enjoyed taking inspiration from characters in her favorite books: you may have seen her artwork included with new release swag from authors like Joanna Shupe, Sarah Maclean, and Katee Robert! Shannon currently lives in Atlanta, working as a wedding and event florist by day and combining her love of art and HEA’s by night.

Robin
Smith

Reading well above her grade level defined her school years, and books and stories continue to define large sections of her life. A stint in acting, life-long friends made through writing fanfiction together, and her career telling love stories through flowers for weddings, have provided Robin a unique position to be able to understand readers and their love of stories, as well as the logistical know-how to produce spectacular events. A fifth generation native of Atlanta, Robin has lived around the globe, but found her home back in Atlanta with her four cats, best friend, family, and partner.

Katie
Dangler

Katie and her identical twin have shared romance books and stories their whole lives. A Nebraska farm girl at heart, with a background in office management and organization. Katie is a proud member of the "We Can Fix or Make It" club who can always be counted on to fix an appliance, magic up a costume, and ALWAYS fully commit to the bit. Katie now makes her home in ATL with her two daughters, two cats, and collection of fowl/foul mouthed t-shirts, and a slew of naughty novels.
